Scott M. Silver

Scott M. Silver is the Director of Lease Audits for Tactix Lease Audit Services, LLC.  Having amassed over fifteen years of lease auditing and lease consulting experience, Scott is recognized nationally for his expertise and skill in performing lease audits, and resolving landlord-tenant disputes related to commercial lease-related charges of rent and additional rent.

Prior to joining Tactix Lease Audit Services, LLC, Scott founded his own lease audit services firm, LeaseAudit$avings, LLC, where his efforts resulted in millions of dollars saved for some of the nation’s largest and best-known corporations.

Prior to establishing LeaseAudit$avings, LLC, Scott was the Senior Manager of Deloitte & Touche’s Lease Consulting Services practice in the Tri-State/New York office.  Specializing in lease audits, Mr. Silver achieved savings for clients in excess of $18.5 million between 1998 and 2002, including a $2.5 million settlement for a multi-national financial services firm’s London office.  In addition to lease audits, Mr. Silver participated in several other lease consulting projects, including pre-acquisition due diligence, reverse lease audits, lease abstracting and data integrity testing, as well as lease administration system flowcharting.  These projects involved office buildings and shopping centers.

From 1992 to 1997, Scott established and managed the Northeast regional operations of National Corporate Services, Inc. (“NCS”), one of the nation’s first real estate consulting firms that specialized in lease audits.  During his tenure with NCS, Mr. Silver identified rental overcharges in excess of $15 million.

Scott started his real estate career in 1987 working for Integrated Resources and then moved to Jones Lang Wootton USA in positions ranging from Senior Property Accountant to Portfolio Controller.  In these roles he had a variety of responsibilities including budgeting, financial reporting and billing for a number of high profile buildings, including the US Steel Building in Pittsburgh, The Washington Harbour Building in Washington, D.C., Harborside Financial Center in Jersey City, New Jersey and First Citizens Bank Plaza in Charlotte, North Carolina, among others.

Scott began his accounting career in 1985 with the public accounting firm, Peat Marwick Mitchell, having earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the State University of New York at Binghamton.

Scott is an active member of CoreNet Global, where he is currently the Treasurer of the Philadelphia Chapter and the past Treasurer of the New York City Chapter. He is a Certified Public Accountant in New York State.

Recognized nationally as an expert in lease auditing, Scott is widely published and is sought after as a speaker in many industry seminars and symposia.  Scott regularly conducts training programs for corporate real estate professionals, as well as for the brokerage, accounting and legal communities.  Scott has also provided his expertise as an expert witness in litigation.

Residing in beautiful Bucks County, Pennsylvania, with his wife and two young children, Scott currently sits on the Design Committee of Temple Judea of Bucks County, which is designing a new Synagogue building to house its rapidly-expanding congregation.  In his spare time, Scott enjoys vacationing with his family in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, playing the drums, watching baseball, gardening and bicycling.
