Wayne Hunt joined Tactix in 2009. He is an multi-faceted real estate executive with over 30 years of progressive institutional experience in commercial real estate finance, operations, portfolio / asset management, REO strategy & execution, value-add and asset repositioning, development, underwriting, tenant advisory, acquisitions/dispositions/1031 exchanges, 3rd party RFP/bid/selection, corporate team building, P&L and business development. Wayne has participated in the structuring and negotiation of numerous complex office leases, sales/exchanges and development projects. He has represented clients in 16 million square feet of office lease transactions, $600 million of construction / development, $550 million of asset sales and $300 million of note sales.
Wayne began his real estate career with Henry Crown and Company, a Chicago based private investment firm, where he was responsible for asset management and acquisition/disposition/exchange underwriting. He was recruited to Philadelphia in 1984 to assist in the formation of a real estate office for the Helmsley Organization. In 1990, he was appointed regional president of The Galbreath Company, an international real estate and development company, where he created a sustainable business model and assisted in the eventual sale of the firm to Jones Lang LaSalle. Wayne, with other key executives of The Galbreath Company, teamed with the international brokerage firm of Cushman & Wakefield. He then joined O’Neill Properties Group, one of the nation’s largest brownfield re-developers, where he was recruited to create an internal asset management group and serve as the president and broker of record for OPG Brokerage Advisors, LP.
Wayne earned an MBA in International Finance from Babson College, served on active duty with the U.S. Air Force in Southeast Asia and the United Kingdom and received a B.S., magna cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts. He is chairman of the men’s committee at the Devon Horse Show to benefit Bryn Mawr Hospital, is a 2nd vice president of the Haverford Civic Association and is a volunteer for the Philadelphia Antiques Show to benefit the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center and the Radnor Races to benefit the Brandywine Conservancy.
